Located in the Crossroads Arts District in Kansas City Missouri, RETRO is an upscale bar dedicated to’60s and ’70s rock and roll, outfitted in throwback leather furniture, funky lamps, a 40 foot bar, a dance floor with one of the best sound systems in Kansas City, and an area for private parties looking over the dance floor.

RETRO opened it's doors in March 2010

 One of the most unique parts of RETRO is a 36′ x 8′ graphic on the wall replicating the Lennon Wall as it stood in May, 2008.  Once an ordinary wall located near the French Embassy in the Mala Strana neighborhood of Prague, the Lennon Wall was transformed in the early 1980s into an architectural canvas. In thousands of acts of civil disobedience, the canvas was soon covered with expressions of peace, hope and political change.  Most of the vibrantly colored graffiti was and continues to be inspired by the poetry, music and life of John Lennon.

RETRO’s digital construction of this wall serves as a living memorial to Lennon and to the human spirit. The John Lennon Wall in Prague changes daily.
